San Francisco Web Design has created great websites.  When it comes to web design, to artists of the internet, then there is nothing like Bay Area or San Francisco Web Design.  A company that will provide you not only quality web design, but also with quality work.  Nowadays websites are expensive and even though they might be more affordable than years ago, they are still a privilege for those that can afford them.  As time went by, the leading web designer in the Bay Area and other cities around San Francisco, Peninsula, East Bay and much more in the Bay Area.

I want to go into web design business & i am targeting the schools, churches and small businesses in my area.
Now, the thing is: what is the best way to approach these people? Do i design a site with their names and take it to them? Or i meet them first? If you guys suggest the later, what are the appropriate words to convince them?

I would meet them first, because each person who runs an organization has their own ideas of what it should be like, so they might not to see a different design. However you can show them generic templates for church websites and such in general.

To convince them you have to match their needs and goals. Organizations often want their messages heard and their membership increased. Bar-none the internet is the best way to get their message heard and they need a website for that. Also they need a good website so people will respect their message. Moreover, a good website will attract more people to their organization and increase their membership.

I am thinking about doing the same for a Tattoo Shop to trade for a Tattoo, and there are 3-4 different shops, so I plan on making a nice looking site and offering it to the first company and then down the line.

Not to mention once they see what their site can look like I think they would be more compulsive to say “Yes lets do it” since they see the vision, even if they never had a website.

I’m very new to the whole area of CMS and on a steep learning curve, so please forgive what may sound like dumb questions!

I’ve been asked to implement a CMS for clients who have sets of image galleries on their site. I need to find a solution which allows them to freely upload and re-order images and automatically creates thumbnails and inserts them into a thumbnail page with links to larger images and captions. The following is an example from the current HTML site, which would need to look exactly the same with a CMS running the backend: As in the example above, the large images must link to each other with next/previous links. Are there systems which would have scope for this? I have looked at a couple in detail (silverstripe and CMSMS) but have not yet found a solution. Most add-on image modules seem to use fancy lightboxes, which I don’t want to use at all.

There are many people who don’t have enough time to sit down and to read the entire news paper or an entire news website. This new websites helps you to read the most important articles, so you don’t have to browse through useless articles. Reciten uses several RSS feeds from well-known news websites like BBC and CNN and we mix them to one website. You might think that we steal these articles, but we mention the source. And there is more: we are working on a system which will recognize similarities in articles. We want to make sure that there won’t appear three articles about the same subject on the homepage. The system picks the one with the most information and this one will appear on the homepage. When you open the article, you will be able to choose an other source to read a similar article about this subject – if available.

Besides that, you could become a real writer. We give news a new dimension by giving readers the opinion to write columns about their opinions or experiences. An example are the riots in London at the moment: a witness could write a column about the current situation, the ambiance in the city and his opinion about the riots. Others could respond and ask questions. The column will appear underneath ‘Related Columns’ if there are articles about these riots.
